Bulls Eye Navy Flash Trainer
This flash trainer is intended to teach Navy recruits about the ship's compartment location nomenclature.
It is very lightweihgt so it can be deployed on virtually any machine or mobile device that is flash capable.
Below are some pictures of the interface and game levels....
Here are some details about the game:
- Simple explanation of the importance of knowing Bull's Eyes to immerse user and give incentive to focus immediately.
- Short simple narrative explaining a flood emergency or similar to put into perspective importance of quickly being able to track rooms down as commanded.
- Provides simple overview with illustrations. (can pretty much take straight from "How to Read a Bull's Eye.")
- Walks user through 2 examples of using Bull's Eye in interface to find a room.
Practice Game Interface
- Simpler then game, gives user Bull's Eye value (i.e. 3-14-1-BLANK) directly and asks them to "find the room."
- To select the room, users are given 2 views, one from the side and one from the top.
Game Interface
- Very similar to the practice interface
- Two types of game play "Free play" mode and "Scenario" mode.
"Free Play"
- Same style to practice game interface, random values generated. User must find and then identify compartment type.
- Scored by timer and accuracy, similar to Insignia Searcher, times speed up as levels increase.
"Scenario"
- Simple storyline taking user through several locations on the ship to perform a function back-to-back.
- Officer gives instructions as shown in illustrations
- First user translates verbal narrative into Bull's Eye values
- Next, user finds Bull's Eye value they wrote on the ship
- Scored by time and accuracy
